I was checking out Delicious Asian Foods most recent post, Zainal’s Satay at Petaling Street Kuala Lumpurwhen I noticed an add for Foodbuzz in the left sidebar. Surprisingly, I clicked on the add and found Foodbuzz, which is a social site for “foodies” or people who like food. Foodbuzz Logo
The site looks like it has a ton of features that could make it one of my newest favorite food sites to visit. I created my profile and added Thegrubhound to my profile.
I love Social sites, and have not been involved with any food related social sites, so this will be a good one to find fellow foodies to network. It certainly looks like there are a lot of possibilities with FoodBuzz, so I am sure I will be blogging about Foodbuzz and adding buttons and widgets in the near future.
Check out TheGrubhound on FoodBuzz.com. Cheers!

April 20th, 2008Mexican Restaurant Review

The only Mexican restaurant in Kutztown has some really good food. I heard somewhere that it was said to have the best Mexican food on the East coast, which seems like a pretty tall order to me.
At any rate, I had the house specialty which is Fajitas a la Mexicana with Shrimp. The two tortillas were more than enough to fill me up.
If you have a chance to dine at La Cocina Mexicana, make sure you get an extra side of their guacamole.

Last week we were vacationing on Singer Island, which is just outside of Palm Beach. The concierge at the Marriott’s Ocean Pointe resort we were staying at, made reservations for us at Charley’s Crab on Thursday night.
Lizzie said she had the best crab cakes she has had this year, and she believes that they rival the Bar Harbor crab cakes she had last summer at The Bar Harbor Hotel.

Anyway, the food at Charley’s Crab was great. We both loved the PuPu Plater appetizers we shared. My fish entre, which was really ugly, really tasted great.
If we had the option to do it again, I believe we both would gladly go to Charley’s Crab again.

Phil’s Fish Stew looks so good. He even ships his cioppino or fish stew in a plastic bucket. For $89 it looks like you can order a nice little intimate dinner for two.

Look at the sauce he makes for the stew. I have used brown sugar in my sauce, but never cinnamon or saffron.

Well if anyone has had the priviledge of trying Phil’s food, please let us kn0w.
