We were in the area so we decide to stop in at Old Man Rafferty’s for the delicious cheesecake and the tomato soup.

The soup was so good, I will with out a doubt go back to Old Man Rafferty’s again.

July 5th, 2008Pied Piper of Bally

Its Saturday morning of 4th of July weekend 2008 and I needed to go to

Lizzie and I have been to the Pied Piper for both dinner and breakfast, and we have come to the conclusion, that their breakfast is pretty good, but their non-breakfast menu is sub par.
This mornings breakfast, makes the second time I have had breakfast at the Pied Piper, and both times I had their delicious pumpkin pancakes. Today, however, I had a short stack and country eggs, which are eggs scrambled with green peppers, onions, and home fries.
The peeps that I was with, included Lizzie’s two sons and her mom. Her middle boy, had the Belgian waffles with strawberries. He also asked them not to put on whipped cream, but they came with it any way. Her youngest son had the creamed chipped beef and a side of scrapple, and was very happy with his selection.
After dinning, bought some half priced fireworks at the seasonal fireworks store that is set up in the Pied Piper parking lot every year. The day after the fourth is always the best time to buy fireworks.
My suggestion for dining at the Pied Piper is that you order off of the breakfast menu, and steer away from anything else, and in my opinion, you can’t go wrong ordering the pumpkin pancakes.
