Want us to review your restaurant?

TheGrubhound is always eager to review new places, especially if they are in the Philadelphia area. Leave us your contact information, and we will get back to you as soon as can.

Not in the Philly area, but think we would enjoy traveling to your location? We also have a travel blog that works in conjunction with TheGrubhound, so leave us a message, and we can see if we can plan a trip to your area.

Do you have a food related site that you would like reviewed? We can do that as well.

Learn how to hold the camera still. Learn that video is visual - so instead of filling the screen with your chin while you talk about the decor - just SHOW the decor. Show the food as if that was the reason people were watching your stupid video - try using some LIGHT! Hold the camera still once in awhile. If you’re going to talk to waiter, etc - SHOW them - video remember? If you put text on the screen don’t make it look like you did it for spite…light text on dark background in video.
    Don’t quit your day job.

Thanks for the critique Josh. I’ll take your tips into account. I never claimed to be a great movie maker. But with feedback like yours, I am sure I will be able to improve…thanks tremendously. I am just a little leary of getting other patrons of these fine establishments on video, and don’t want to use extra lighting. The good thing about making these videos is that I don’t need to use flash. I actually like the idea of having the reviews be homemade and not produced. But I think your right about showing the waiters faces.

    1. We just wanted to let you know about the new, transnational website, SneakySunday.com. Our site (www.SneakySunday.com) features unbiased recommendations for upscale restaurants, bars, hotels, shopping, leisure and live entertainment venues in over 90 cities across the US. We make these designations by using our local field representatives. Unlike companies such as CitySearch, our website is completely unbiased and therefore at no cost to you. That’s how we build trust with our users.

    2. Being a supporter of your website, the creators of Sneaky Sunday feel that we would like to work in conjunction with you. We noticed that your company links out to numerous websites that are within the same category as our own. Sneaky Sunday was wondering if you would be willing to place a link that connects your website to ours as well. In return, we would love to post a link of your website on our links page too. Definitely, Sneaky Sunday feels that this would be mutually beneficial to our companies.

    3. Some of the features that make our website particularly functional and unique are as follows:
    - We have a webpage (sneakysunday.tv) that features short form video reviews for numerous venues listed on our site
    - You can make reservations for certain restaurants on our site (via OpenTable)
    - The website varies its suggestions based on day of the week.
    - We have a daily events calendar for every one of our cities
    - Maps of the venues are provided
-You can also send the general information of the venue to your cellphone via text message

If you would be willing to post our link on your site, Sneaky Sunday would really appreciate it. If you desire for us to put up your link, please let us know. Also, if you could inform us- if you chose to do so- that you’ve posted our link, that would be great as well. Thanks.
